Let’s Talk About London

I was comfortable with this being my first solo trip because I didn't think I was going to have to worry about understanding the language. Boy, was I wrong! Everywhere I went in London, there were handfuls of different languages and dialects being spoken. What an amazing place. London is one of my favorite places to visit and every time I go, I have a completely different experience. From seeing award winning shows in the West End, to reliving history and touring Winston Churchill’s War Rooms, there is something for everyone in London.

Highlights-

✴ The Tower of London- Ok guys, this castle started construction in 1078. I will repeat, in the year ONE-THOUSAND AND SEVENTY-EIGHT! Loads of famous people were executed here. If you paid attention in History class, you know exactly who I am talking about...

✴ The Harry Potter Studio Tours- Opening the envelope that delivered these tickets to me made me feel like I was eleven years old and just received my Hogwarts letter. Going and seeing the set, the props, everything, was (*Nerd Alert*) life changing.

Phrases to Know

The one thing I was most surprised at was how many languages are spoken throughout London. And while British English is a little different from American English, you get used to standing in a "queue", taking the "lift", paying "5 quid", and says "cheers" to, well, everyone!
